0870 and 0871 Mobile Phone Rates

Example: Pre pay users can save 86% calling mobiles on different networks and over 90% to international destinations. That means paying 5p instead of 35p per minute or more.* Update - Many Pay as you go Users are currently being overcharged, at rates of up to 30p per min to call 0871 711 0700. Example: Users using the smartstep  pay as you go price plan would pay 5p per min after the first 3 minutes.* Update - Vodafone seem to have increased call charges to 0871 Numbers for Pay as you go customers to 35p per min. Pay as you go users: It is best not to use our service to call mobiles as it is cheaper to call mobiles directly. One 2 One charge Pay as you go users 40p per minute to call our number but only 30p per minute to all other mobiles.* However large savings can still be made on international calls.

Charged at specific 0871 rates. However the 0871 rates on both mobiles and landlines are less than the charges for calling UK mobile phones.* Users can save large amounts when making international calls.

We have had some reports that mobile networks have in a few instances charged an incorrect  rate for 0871 numbers. If it happens to you, ask your operator's billing department to confirm the correct price and ensure that they refund any extra charges.
